As a result of Zebra's rapid organizational growth and global expansion, the company had multiple, disconnected Web sites, rather than one, integrated site. Content on the various sites was often redundant, the processes for updating pages were manual, and integration of information in a centralized database was limited.
Acquity Group and Zebra worked together to build an easily maintained, fully integrated site. The team developed a technical blueprint/roadmap that addressed Zebra's existing needs and planned for future growth, delivered functional Web site prototypes, and selected and implemented a content management system. Acquity Group ultimately helped to consolidate more than 30 micro sites, containing content in 15 different languages, into one, primary Web site.
Implementation of a central repository for product information - which eliminated the need to update content in multiple places - and the content management system facilitated faster and easier site updates. These solutions significantly reduced site maintenance costs. Zebra’s marketing group was also given the ability to more effectively capture sales leads and cross-sell related products to site visitors. Acquity Group’s solution was designed with scalability in mind, which will enhance efficiency and limit additional investment when Zebra implements additional online initiatives.
