We were ecstatic when the New York Philharmonic asked us to implement digital document management for its millions of paper, audio, and video artifacts. Working closely with the storied institution, we leveraged an open source solution to create a digital library enabling global access, cross-collection searches, and individual document display for many of the world’s most important archival pieces. The first digitization effort—1,316,828 pages of material marking The Leonard Bernstein Years (1943-1970)—is already underway.
