Global airfreight leader Atlas Air faced challenges familiar to many expanding businesses, including difficulty managing project priorities and resources across multiple divisions. We established a Business Demand Planning Board, a group of divisional VPs charged with prioritizing and governing projects, then instituted an EPMO to mature the process and act as intermediary between divisions and the Planning Board. And to ensure the EPMO’s success, we defined reporting standards and developed a project governance framework supported by project intake process documentation and training materials.
